I Live For The Night

As the moonlight cascades down
Upon the shimmering lake,
The scattered clouds cry lightly
Causing ripplet rings
On the ever-changing waters.
The air,
A perfumed freshness,
As the rain washes away the dust of time
Left behind on the firm underfoot,
Yet lively grass.
With each falling drop
Is a bright reflecting universe
Which ends,
As the rain talks to the trees
In the distant valley woodland.
I live for the night.
